The Dumbest Thing In Airplanes You Probably Never Realized

Do you think you’re stupid?

Then you must wonder why airlines treat you that way when boarding.

Think about it.

When boarding, you’re asked for your boarding pass so staff can direct you to your seat.

When there’s only one aisle, this makes absolutely no sense.

There is only one way you can go.

Straight.

However, before you’re allowed to go straight, you must hand over your boarding pass.

So someone else can read it.

And then tell you to go straight.

This is customer service gone wrong.

When would you ever need help finding your seat?

Seat directions are alpha numerical.

There is no foreign language to decipher.

No code to interpret.

Nothing to understand.

Even if you've never been on a plane before, you can still figure it out.

Also, have you ever tried boarding the plane without handing your boarding pass over?

It’s impossible.

No amount of side stepping or smooth talking can get you by.

The handing over of the boarding pass seems to have become a rite of passage.

It doesn't matter how many times you've traveled.

How sure you are where your seat is.

Or how capable you are of walking in a straight line.

Until you complete the rite of passage,

Ridiculous.
